The Annapolis Valley Harness Club will be hosting a show the 16th June, 2012. We shall also be hosting a Driving Clinic with Viki Cork, the May long weekend at Sundown Stables, Nictaux, Middleton.

Driving classes will abide by Equine Canada’s Driving rules. 

 

·         Classes 8-10, and 17-19, are for Novice mini/pony/horse, and driver.  These equines and drivers cannot enter any other pleasure or reinsmanship driving class, but may enter classes 22-35. 

·         Juniors must wear helmets (18 and under) in all classes, including walk/trot.

·          A header is encouraged in all classes, but especially encouraged in junior , and novice classes

·         Dress code will be followed

·         Walk/Trot classes are combined English/Western

·         Proof of liability insurance (photocopy of your NSEF card or letter from your home insurance carrier stating horses are PL&PD covered) MUST be included with your entry form.

·         Entries MUST be received by the Show Secretary NLT 10th June or a late fee of $1.00 per class will be charged. 

·         Back numbers are $1.00, non-refundable

·         Anyone wishing to use their own numbers may do so, unless that number has already been issued.  Should you wish to use your own number, STATE IT on your entry form so the office knows the number prior to the show; you will be contacted if that number has already been issued...in which case you will be issued a number at the regular fee of $1.00.  There will be NO NUMBER CHANGES on the day of the show. 

·         Administrative fee per horse is $5.00

·         Class fee is $4.00 per class; the late fee is $1.00 extra per class, which would make each late class entered, $5.00.

Directions to Sundown Stables are as follows:

Off 101, from Yarmouth direction – Take exit 18a, turn right off ramp, drive straight to stop, turn left, continue straight past Tim Hortons, almost immediately take right at Needs Store onto #10 Hwy, and continue straight onto Nictaux Road to stop sign, turn right onto Hwy 201...continue approx 21/2 km until you see a “sharp corner” sign, but don’t pass it, the driveway is before you get to it; civic address 8227 Hwy 201.  There are large boulders on each side of the driveway, and you will see the dome. 

Off 101, from Halifax direction – Take exit 18, turn left off ramp, drive to stop, turn right (to Middleton) drive through town and take a left onto the #10 Hwy, at the Needs store.  Continue straight onto Nictaux Road to stop sign, turn right onto Hwy 201...continue approx 21/2 km until you see a “sharp corner” sign, but don’t pass it, the driveway is before you get to it; civic address 8227 Hwy 201.  There are large boulders on each side of the driveway, and you will see the dome. 

Please don’t park and unload until you know you are parked in the right spot...it might be crowded, and everyone will need space to load, and unload throughout the day without confusion, and room for carts and wagons between the trailers is a necessity.
